“This will be a formal advisory committee of council and it will meet regularly to provide an important advisory and advocacy role for a diverse range of creative industries.
“The members of the committee will also contribute to the long-term vision of how the City and the community can work together to realise a future with creativity at its core.
“Creative industries form a significant and growing part of our economy which supports and generates jobs and investment.
“It also plays an important role in the health and wellbeing across the community and showcases Greater Bendigo to a wider audience.”
No previous experience in needed to join the committee and the group provides guidance on a range of artistic and creative crafts and endeavours as well as municipal galleries, museums, and events.
Expressions of interest to join the committee are open until Friday 25 August and for more information and to apply visit the City of Greater Bendigo website.
Along with the callout for new members, Mr Hamilton also gave thanks to the outgoing group at the end of their term.

“Meetings are productive, and opinions are valued.”
