Jets take on ladder-leading Suns
STRATHFIELDSAYE faces the ladder-leading Strathdale-Maristians in Saturday’s start to round six in the Bendigo District Cricket Association’s first XI season.
It’s fourth against first on the Jets’ turf at Triple M Park in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane from 1pm.
The Jets will be on the rebound from a six-wicket loss to Kangaroo Flat in last Saturday’s one-day clash at The Dispensary Oval in Dower Park.
Another big match will be at Haymes Paint Shop Oval in Wade Street where Golden Square hosts Bendigo.
Both were defeated in their one-day games.
The Bulldogs were on the end of a six-wicket defeat on Eaglehawk’s ground at National Heating and Cooling Oval in Canterbury Park.
Bendigo took it right up to the Suns as it scored 7-230 off 45 overs as captain James Ryan struck 10 fours and a six in a brilliant knock of 95 from 99 deliveries.
Sandhurst faces an in-form Kangaroo Flat in the Dragons’ den at Bendigo District RSL Oval in Weeroona Avenue.
