Competition Terms & Conditions

Promoter

The promoter is Times News Group, whose registered office is at 95 Beach Road, Torquay, VIC 3228.

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over, except employees of Times News Group, their immediate family members, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  • Entry is free, and no purchase is necessary. However, by entering, entrants agree to be subscribed to the local newspaper’s email list.

Agreement to Terms

By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

How to Enter

  • Entry details and routes are provided on Times News Group platforms.
  • Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries from the same individual will result in disqualification.

Competition Period

  • The closing date for entries will be specified on the competition webpage and relevant social media platforms.
  • No entries will be accepted after the closing date.

Entry Requirements

  • Entrants must subscribe to one of the local newspapers published by Times News Group unless the competition is run exclusively on social media, in which case entry details will be provided on the relevant platform.
  • Times News Group is not responsible for any entries not received due to technical issues or other reasons beyond its control.

Prizes

  • The prize will be detailed in the competition announcement.
  • Prizes are not transferable, and no cash or alternative options will be offered unless specified.
  • Times News Group reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.

Winner Selection and Notification

  • Winners will be selected at random using software for online entries or specialised random selection tools for social media entries.
  • Winners will be notified by email or through the social media platform used for entry within three (3) days of the competition closing date.
  • If the winner does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, Times News Group reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

Prize Collection

Details on how and where the prize can be collected or delivered will be provided to the winner.

Decisions are Final

Times News Group’s decisions regarding all aspects of the competition, including eligibility and prize allocation, are final.

Data Protection

  • Winners agree to the use of their name and image in promotional materials.
  • Personal data provided by entrants will only be used in accordance with Australian privacy laws and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

General Conditions

  • Times News Group reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions due to events outside its control, such as natural disasters, acts of war, or legal changes.
  • Changes to the competition will be communicated to entrants as soon as possible.

Liability

Times News Group is not responsible for inaccurate prize details provided by third parties.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by Australian law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.

Social Media Disclaimer

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media platform. Entrants provide their information to Times News Group, not to any external party.

Right to Modify or Cancel

Times News Group reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at its discretion, with changes effective immediately upon publication.

Conditions of Entry

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions.
  2. Entry is open to residents of the Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast regions, and entry is deemed as acknowledgement and acceptance of Conditions of Entry.
  3. Times News Group and Full PR employees and their immediate families and any agencies associated with this promotion are excluded from entry.
  4. The Promotion commences 6pm AEST on Wednesday 20th November 2024 and closes at 12pm AEST on Wednesday 4th December 2024 (‘Promotion Period’).

Prize

  • Family Pass A Reserve to Peppa Pig
    • 8 x Family Passes for Saturday 3rd May 10am at The Play House, Geelong Arts Centre
    • 4 x Family Passes for 30th April 10am at the Ulumbarra Theatre, Bendigo
  • There will be 12 winners across the Times News Group in the following breakdowns:
    • 4 x winners in Geelong Times
    • 2 x winners in Surf Coast Times
    • 2 x winners in Bellarine Times
    • 3 x winners in Bendigo Times
    • 1 x winner in McIvor Times

Prize Terms

  • Tickets are for the date specified on the dedicated competition page.
  • Tickets are not transferable for alternate dates.
  • The prize cannot be sold to third parties; any winners caught will have their prize voided and be banned from all future Times News Group competitions.

The Competition

  1. During the Promotion Period entrants can enter by heading to this page and signing up to enter the Major Prize Draw.
  2. The competition requires entrants to subscribe to Times News Group and participating promoters.
  3. On Wednesday 4th December 2024, a random draw will take place to award the nominated persons as the Major Prize winners.
  4. The winner will be announced online and contacted via phone and email.
  5. Should the winner not adhere to competition conditions, a redraw will take place.

General Terms & Conditions

  1. Times News Group decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  2. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.
  3. All information collected will be kept for administrative purposes only, unless opt-in options are selected.
  4. Times News Group reserves the right to request winners provide proof of identity, and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter.

  6. The use of false names, addresses, or dates of birth will disqualify entrants from receiving the prize.
  7. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated entities exclude liability for any loss, injury, or damage incurred by entrants in connection with the Promotion.
  8. Times News Group reserves the right to withdraw the competition at any time.
  9. Acceptance of the prize is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
