Surf Coast Community $10,000 AFL Tipping Competition
This year’s competition will expand to see tippers having the ability to select their community group, whilst also attempting to win significant individual prizes.
Community Bank Surf Coast has provided the funding for the community prizes which will be awarded based on their individual tipsters end of year position.
Surf Coast Times have provided the enhanced audience, media profile and also individual weekly and end of year prizes.
Given the nature of the prizes, this competition is only open to those entrants 18 years or older.

The total community groups prize pool is $10,000
First Prize $5,000, Second Prize $3,000, Third Prize $1,500 and Fourth Prize $500. With all winning funds provided to the community group the individual tipster has selected. It is recommended for entrants to reach out via the messaging function of ESPN Footy Tips with your preferred group. If you are in the Top 10 through out the weeks, the Community Bank Surf Coast marketing lead will make contact with you. Once you have selected a group, the ability to change to another group is not permitted.
To ensure that communication is achievable, we are setting the requirement that all competitors allow the Admins of the competition to see your email address, to allow us to make contact for group selection and prize notification. The Email Address used will not be used by Surf Coast Times or Community Bank Surf Coast for marketing related events outside those explicitly stated here.

So what groups are eligible to have your support if you win?
Community Bank Surf Coast are providing the prize money to the groups. The strict requirement of an eligible groups is that the group needs to be an incorporated community or not-for-profit organisation with an ABN, while also meeting the guidelines of the Community Bank Surf Coast Community Investment and Sponsorship policy which can be provided upon request via [email protected]. Examples of eligible groups include Anglesea Football & Netball Club, Surfcoast Torquay Girls Guide & Bellbrae Fire Brigade.
How to Enter:
It costs nothing to enter! If you win, your impact to a community group could be huge. As an added bonus, you have the potential of individual weekly or overall prizes as provided by Surf Coast Times.
You enter by creating or logging into your ESPN Footytips Account, and joining the 10K Surf Coast Community Competition by searching or via the link on this page.
Prizes
Weekly – $50 voucher to spend at Harry Brown Liquor Torquay*
Weekly prizes are awarded to the person with the highest round score and closest margin, as per the weekly table on the ESPN website at the conclusion of the round. If there is a dead heat of entries, the winner will be decided by who has the highest overall number of tips for the season. If there is still a dead heat, the winner will be chosen at random by a Surf Coast Times representative. *Must be over 18 to claim the prize.
Overall End of Season Prize:
1st Prize: $500 Cash & $5,000 for your community group.
2nd Prize: $250 Cash & $3,000 for your community group.
3rd Prize: $100 Cash & $1,500 for your community group.
4th Prize: $50 Cash & $500 for your community group.

Competition dates
The Surf Coast Community $10,000 AFL Tipping Competition runs from March 1st, 2024 until August 26th, 2024 (the conclusion of Round 24 of the 2024 AFL Season).
Community groups prize pool winners will be announced on August 27th, 2023 at 10 am and contacted by a Community Bank Surf Coast Representative
Weekly random winners will be announced each Monday at 10am after each round of the 2024 AFL Home & Away Season.
