Promoter

The promoter is Times News Group, whose registered office is 2/12 Cylinders Drive, Torquay, VIC 3228.

Eligibility

The competition is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over, except employees of Times News Group, their immediate family members, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

Entry is free, and no purchase is necessary. However, by entering, entrants agree to be subscribed to the local newspaper’s email list.

Agreement to Terms

By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

How to Enter

Entry details and routes are provided on Times News Group platforms.

Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries from the same individual will result in disqualification.

No entries will be accepted after the closing date.

Entry Requirements

Entrants must subscribe to one of the local newspapers published by Times News Group, unless the competition is run exclusively on social media, in which case entry details will be provided on the relevant platform.

Times News Group is not responsible for any entries not received due to technical issues or other reasons beyond its control.

All personal information collected will be used in accordance with Times News Group’s Privacy Policy and for the purpose of administering this competition, unless opt-ins are selected.

Give back to a local hero – Terms & Conditions

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions.
2. Entry is open to residents of the Ballarat, Bendigo, Moorabool and McIvor regions and entry is deemed as acknowledgement and acceptance of Conditions of Entry.
3. Times News Group and Quest Geelong Central employees and their immediate families and any agencies associated with this promotion are excluded from entry.
4. The Promotion commences at 6pm AEST on Thursday 9th July 2026 and closes at 9.59am AEST on Wednesday 29th July 2026 (‘Promotion Period’).
Prize:
- Two (2) nights’ accommodation for up to four (4) guests in a Two Bedroom Executive Apartment at Quest Geelong Central
- Complimentary on-site parking for the duration of the stay
- Four (4) tickets to Strong Is the New Pretty performance at Geelong Arts Centre
- A dining experience for four guests at a selected Hamo Hospitality venue

Prize Terms:
- • Two (2) nights’ accommodation and parking at Quest Geelong Central
  • Accommodation is for up to four (4) guests
  • Four (4) tickets to “Strong Is the New Pretty” performance at Geelong Arts Centre
  • Accommodation is subject to availability at Quest Geelong Central.
  • Blackout dates may apply, including public holidays, major events, and peak demand periods.
  • Geelong Arts Centre tickets are subject to performance schedules and ticket availability.
  • Prize includes a dining experience for four (4) guests at a Hamo Hospitality venue. Specific venue, booking requirements, and inclusions will be advised to the winner following prize acceptance and are subject to availability.
  • Quest Geelong Central, will work with the winner to identify suitable travel, performance, and dinner dates.
- Please note: The Geelong Arts Centre performance must be selected from shows running between October 8 and October 11, 2026 (subject to availability). The two-night accommodation at Quest Geelong Central and dining experience can be booked for another date, subject to availability.
The Competition:
1. During the Promotion Period entrants can enter by heading to the Times News Group ‘Give back to a local hero’’ entry form online and completing the entry form.
2. All entrants who have signed up during the promotion period will be in the running.
3. The winners will be drawn via random selection on Wednesday 29th July at approx 2:30pm AEST.
1. Should the winner not adhere to competition conditions, or be unavailable for the above dates a redraw will take place.

Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter
Use of a false name, address or date of birth will disqualify the entrant from receiving the prize
To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter and associated agencies exclude all liability for any loss or injury in connection with the Promotion
Times News Group reserves the right to withdraw the competition at any time and for any reason
