Health and Wellbeing Promoting Workplace Award sponsored by Barwon Health: Arthur St
Boutique digital marketing agency, Arthur St, has been recognised by the Geelong Business Excellence Awards once again.
In 2020, the agency won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award and this year, the team at Arthur St are the recipients of the Health and Wellbeing Promoting Workplace Award, sponsored by Barwon Health.
This award celebrates businesses that demonstrate a recognition of, and commitment to, delivering health and wellbeing workplace initiatives.
“Not only is Arthur St a business demonstrating high standards and professionalism in their chosen field, but a business providing a great environment to work in with a great culture for their team and clients,” judge Susie Thomas said.
“It invests heavily in its people and in caring for its people.”
Based in Geelong, Arthur St serves clients throughout Australia across 27 distinct industry sectors.
Its team of 11 consists of a range of experienced professionals including marketing managers, brand strategists, digital campaign specialists and a print executive.
The team employs strategies designed to deliver results and empower their clients to understand more about digital marketing practices, teaching them the skills needed to have a long-term impact.
Prior to the company’s beginning in 2017, directors Matt Cowdell and Pete Clark shared many of the same frustrations about the large corporate organizations they had previously worked with.
They saw a space for a boutique agency that was more agile than its competitors, believing it could develop better customer relationships and deliver better results in an increasingly fragmented media landscape.
For the company, a positive culture that people want to work in is central to those goals.
Arthur St’s mission is to become the region’s most attractive employer, with a focus on being the best in the industry, rather than the largest.
And Arthur St’s exceptionally high staff retention would suggest that this strategy is working.
“Arthur St is committed to protecting the health and safety of its employees and clients,” Ms. Thomas said.
“It has introduced a four-day week for the team as well as a hybrid working environment and special parenting payments.”
In addition to a flexible working environment, Arthur St’s staff are offered above market rate salaries, bonuses, and education opportunities to enhance their skills.
But the care the agency shows its staff also extends to the broader community.
With its social impact front of mind, Arthur St works to drive initiatives that benefit the community and improve the lives of the people in regions it serves.
