October 17, 2024 BY

Founded in 2002, Cabinets by Computer creates and supplies innovative software solutions to improve the design, automation process, sales and manufacturing production line of cabinetmaking businesses.

Development and innovation sit at the heart of everything the team at Cabinets by Computer do.

The business believes that if there is a more effective way to complete a project, it should be explored.

It’s an ethos that informs both its product offering, as well as its own processes and, for the second time, has earned the business the Innovation, Research and Development Award, sponsored by Viva Energy Australia.

The award, which Cabinets by Computer first won in 2022, recognises leadership through the practical application of innovative solutions.

This year, the business has also been named LBW Business + Wealth Advisors’ 2024 Business of the Year, a nod to its excellence across all facets of its operation, and was shortlisted in the medium to large business award category.

Judge James Murphy said the judges were blown away by the cutting-edge ingenuity of Cabinets by Computer’s approach to business.

“The organisation’s continuous innovation has created market leading technologies, which add value to the industry and improve sustainable practices by reducing waste with optimised cutting lists,” Mr Murphy said.

This focus on sustainable practices also extends to the business’s own operation, with Cabinets by Computer boasting a carbon neutral operation, with solar panels, energy efficient lighting and water tanks in use across its factories and offices.

The business also recycles and reuses materials whenever possible, educating its staff about sustainable practices and encouraging them to adopt eco-friendly habits.

“The organisation demonstrated its maturity with a very considered approach to growth, as it continues to expand into new markets,” Mr Murphy said.

“Their innovative approach extends throughout their business, including creative marketing campaigns, resulting in excellent market penetration, increased brand awareness and a strengthened brand image.”

The business, which was founded in 2002, creates and supplies innovative software solutions to improve the design, automation process, sales and manufacturing production line of cabinetmaking businesses.

Cabinets by Computer’s customer service standards, employer of choice strategies and strong financial and risk management policies and procedures have also been praised by this year’s judging panel.
