Founded in Geelong in 1865, Godfrey Hirst now operates four carpet manufacturing facilities, three yarn processing facilities, 10 distribution centres, and 14 sales offices across Australia and New Zealand.

The business presently employs more than 1,000 people, of which roughly half are employed in Australia and half in New Zealand.

Textile manufacturing and a love for quality, locally produced products were passed on from Godfrey Hirst, who established the Victorian Woollen and Cloth Manufacturing company more than 150 years ago.

Today, thousands of metres of carpet are produced in its facilities in Australia, and both carpet and hard flooring are supplied to flooring retailers around Australia and New Zealand, as well as major commercial projects in all market segments across workspace, retail, hospitality, healthcare, aged care, education, public space and multi-residential.
