Occupation: Doctor
Resides: Geelong
How long have you lived in your council or ward? I’ve lived in Geelong for almost 2 decades, initially moving here for medical school at Deakin university and now serving the community as a doctor.
What’s your involvement with the community? As a doctor at Barwon Health, I care for local patients daily and listen to their concerns. I’m also actively involved in community health initiatives and advocate for evidence-based local policies, like safer pedestrian crossings and smarter parking solutions.
Are you associated with or have you been associated with a political party or movement? I am running as an independent candidate, focused on an evidence based approach to decision and policy making for the community. I am associated with the Australian Labor Party.
Who are you preferencing? [candidate did not answer]
What is your campaign budget? Are you receiving financial assistance? I’m running a modest campaign, funded entirely by personal contributions. I have not received any significant financial assistance from external organizations.
For you, what are the three most important issues in your council or ward? Addressing cost-of-living pressures, especially council rate rises. Improving local infrastructure, particularly pedestrian safety. Enhancing public transport and smarter parking solutions to reduce congestion.
