From succulent ribs and juicy brisket to tender pulled pork and delectable sides, the team has carefully crafted a menu that celebrates the art of barbecue.

GET low and slow at Bellarine Estate winery tomorrow (Saturday, November 4) with the winery’s next BBQ & Blues festival.

Music and meat lovers are in for an unforgettable day as the sweet & smoky aromas of sizzling barbecue and soulful blues tunes fill the air across the Bellarine Peninsula.

Taking to the stage throughout the day, with their electrifying blend of blues and rock, will be renowned Aussie artists Simon Kinny-Lewis Band, Phil Para Band and Wayne Jury 4.

Complementing the music is Bellarine Estate’s famous authentic American barbecue, cooked on the smoker and led by winery owner and chief pitmaster Peter Kenny.

From succulent ribs and juicy brisket to tender pulled pork and delectable sides, the team has carefully crafted a menu that celebrates the art of barbecue.

The American barbecue pays homage to winery owner Lizette Kenny’s roots and will be dished up with lots of love and a good serving of American tradition at the picturesque winery overlooking Corio Bay.

“Our BBQ & Blues events are a highlight on the local events calendar,” Bellarine Estate general manager James Kenny said.

“They are loved by everyone who attends and we knew we had to put on a bigger bash this time.

“We’re excited to provide a unique stage, in such a unique setting, and showcase the talents of some incredible musos.

“And the music and food work so well together.

“We love bringing a taste of southern USA to Victoria’s beautiful Bellarine.”

Bellarine Estate will host more barbecue and music-related events over the coming weeks and months.

Located 25 minutes from Geelong, the Bellarine Estate property is home to the Kenny Family’s two chief wine labels (Bellarine Estate and Portarlington Ridge @ Bellarine Estate) a recently launched gin distillery (Thirty Acres Distillery @ Bellarine Estate), as well as a cellar door, a delicious smokehouse restaurant the winery’s new luxury glamping accommodation (Coastal Glamping @ Bellarine Estate).

Now in its second generation, eldest son James Kenny has taken over the reins from his parents as Bellarine Estate’s general manager, while his younger brother Julian is the estate’s head winemaker.

“Our Bellarine Estate wines are handmade, small batch estate produced wines, crafted to traditional methods as a testament to the origins of our family-run winery,” Julian said.

“We carefully tend and pick the fruit, having allowed it to fully ripen, ensuring that the flavours and tannins reach maturity at the same time as the sugar reaches its required level.

“I love being able to produce something that people can take home and enjoy with friends and family over a meal, create memories and celebrate life.”
