PORTARLINGTON Grand Hotel has introduced a new weekly line up full of great deals and entertainment.

Mussel Monday kicks things off with $20 mussels for lunch and dinner, followed by $24 pizza and trivia on Tuesdays, $25 Parma Wednesdays, $21 burgers on Thursdays, Fox Footy Friday’s, $25 fish and chip Saturday’s and $30 Sunday roast.

Portarlington Grand Hotel general manager Greg Amor said the weekly specials are all about welcoming the locals back into the venue.

“More and more people’s money is getting a bit tighter so we’re really looking at providing our high quality and our usual menu items at a discounted rate,” he said.

“Getting the locals back in is really important for us and running specials tends to get families and people coming into the pub for food and drinks and relaxing with their friends.

“As well as that, we’re running live music in the front bar on Friday’s and Sunday’s for entertainment which is really working for us and has been quite popular.”

For the AFL supporters they will find the football on the big screen every Friday and Saturday night, where they can also enjoy bar snacks and happy hour.

“With footy not being on free to air TV on Saturday’s, we’ve really seen it as an opportunity to get people with their families and friends to watch the footy and make their dollar go further,” Mr Amor said.

More live entertainment is also on its way to the Bellarine business with Divinyls Story – it’s a fine line, taking the stage on May 24.

AFL will also be on the big screens on Friday and Saturday nights.

Mr Amor said the venue is beautiful to dine at and there’s something on offer for everyone.

“We get fresh seafood in daily, continuing to roll out new specials in the restaurant and the more affordable atrium menu with the pub classics and catering to all people.”

The hotel also features newly renovated accommodation where they will run a midweek campaign, guests who stay for three nights between May and September will receive a $100 dining credit in the hotel.
