AFL BARWON is providing the ultimate toolkit for club volunteers, officials, and coaches this Sunday, February 25 to collect necessary information for the 2024 season.

The local sporting body’s “Game Plan” sessions will take place at GMHBA Stadium and present a range of information sessions for all club supporters.

“The event is a great opportunity for club volunteers, officials, and coaches to collect the necessary information required for the upcoming season,” AFL Barwon football operations co-ordinator Lachlan McClounan told clubs before the event.

Football coaches can take part in three separate coaching courses led by AFL Victoria, Geelong Football Club and AFL Barwon sponsor Rookie Me.

Netball coaches can also take part in workshops led by Netball Victoria.

The event is supported by official sponsor and local NDIS provider Leisure Networks.

“Led by AFL Barwon Staff & industry specialists, the sessions will provide you with knowledge of every aspect of AFL Barwon to ensure your team can start the year strong,” Mr McClounan said.

“We will also be offering an expo hosted by our commercial partners, providing unique opportunities to align your club community with valuable resources and networks.”

The schedule of the day will run across five different rooms touching on all areas of local sports, including Player Points and Salary Caps, Match Day Operations, the Laws of the Games, to the framework around Football and Netball’s Tribunal.

A special Netball Victoria Umpires in the Field session will be held at the Kardinia Park Netball Pavilion from 11.30am-3.45pm.

The ‘Game Plan’ will run from 9am to 1pm.
