ONE of Geelong’s biggest motor shows has been announced for next month, paying homage to a major part of the region’s history.

The 33rd annual All Ford Day will return to Geelong’s Eastern Gardens on March 17, celebrating the rich heritage and diversity of Ford vehicles from across the country.

Event director Nicholas Heath said more than 1,500 Ford vehicles graced the region last year at the annual show, the biggest turnout in the event’s history.

“We are excited to once again host All Ford Day in the setting of Eastern Park.

“This event is not just about showcasing the beauty of Ford vehicles, but also about bringing together the community to share their passion and celebrate the history of Ford manufacturing in Geelong.

“In addition to the captivating display of cars, attendees can enjoy a range of entertainment and activities for the whole family, including food vendors, merchandise stalls, and more.”

For ultimate car enthusiasts, the show will have over 30 judged categories for car-lovers to try and win, providing ample opportunities for participants to showcase their prized possessions and compete for top honours.

The Ford brand is synonymous with Geelong’s community fabric.

While car manufacturing and assemblance in Geelong’s old Ford factory in Norlane stopped in 2016, Ford’s Geelong plant was opened in 1925, providing jobs and economic stability for over 90 years.

Ford will also celebrate 100 years of sponsorship of the Geelong Football Club next year in 2025, which it claims is the oldest continuing sports team sponsorship in the world.
