GEELONG Gallery has announced the 10 local students selected to exhibit work in Future Creatives 2026, its annual exhibition celebrating emerging young artists from across the region.

The exhibition supports young artists as they take early steps toward further study and professional pathways in the creative industries.

Each of the students completed their Victorian Certificate of Education last year and were selected for the exhibition for the strength of their creative practice across a range of art and design disciplines.

Their works span a wide range of mediums, including painting, textiles, animation and performance, and were chosen for the strength of their technique and the artists’ conceptual and perceptual development.

For many of the students, Future Creatives 2026 will mark the first time their work has been exhibited.

Future Creatives 2026 will open at Geelong Gallery next month on February 28. It will run until May 17, with free entry throughout the exhibition period.
