The Give Where You Live Foundation's Feed Geelong Appeal has raised close to $60,000 to help fight hunger in the community.

THE Give Where You Live Foundation’s 2025 Feed Geelong Appeal has raised almost $60,000 to help fight hunger and support people experiencing food insecurity across the Geelong community.

Held from October 13 to October 19, the annual appeal rallied the community to take action against food insecurity, with funds going directly to the Give Where You Live Foundation’s initiatives and local programs that provide vital support to people struggling to put food on the table.

With the Foundation’s latest Food for Thought research showing that demand for food relief has grown, chief executive officer Zac Lewis said he was humbled by the generosity of the Geelong community.

“Thank you to everyone who supported the 2025 Feed Geelong Appeal. We’re excited to announce it raised close to $60,000 to provide much needed support to food relief programs across the region,” he said.

“We are heartened by the amount of support we received for the Appeal. We know there are people

in our community who are going without food in order to pay the bills and the rent. The funds raised will stay in the Geelong community to support people who need help to feed their families.”

“With the rising cost of living pushing more people into food insecurity, these funds will make a real difference in helping ensure no one in our region goes hungry.”

“We’re working hard to create a fairer Geelong and we can only do that with the support of our community. The amazing efforts of all of our sponsors, donors and Lunch Money Challenge participants will help those most in need in our community.”

The Foundation also extends heartfelt thanks to its 2025 Feed Geelong Appeal Partners, whose support helped feed Geelong.

These include Times News Group, Goop Digital, The Gordon, GSC Finance, Australian Tyre Traders, Associated Cold Tread Tyres, Bay 93.9, and K rock 95.5.

“Together, we’ve taken a big step toward feeding our community,” Mr Lewis said.

“But the work doesn’t stop here. We encourage everyone to continue supporting local food relief efforts year-round.”
