Geelong bars shake up margarita fiesta
FROM classic sips to bold creative twists, everyone’s favourite tequila cocktail is set to be struck into the limelight at a special event in Geelong this month.
Hola Margarita will be drinking its way into five of Geelong’s top bars on February 21 and promises to be a fun-filled day of great margaritas, great venues and even better vibes.
The 18th Amendment, Black Sheep, Edge, Non-Disclosure Bar and The Inn Hotel will be bringing out their best version of the much-loved beverage throughout the day.
Attendees will be invited to wander from bar to bar at their own pace, and where they stop and sip is completely up to them.
David Heath from event organiser Neighbourhood Events said he was thrilled to be bringing the concept to Geelong for the first time.
“It’s actually the first time we are doing Hola Margarita across Australia, and we can’t wait for it to hit Geelong alongside Cairns, Burleigh Heads and Perth.
“Coincidentally the one in Geelong is happening on Margarita Day, which was not planned.
“A margarita is that drink that everyone loves, and there’s so many variants to it that venues like to put their own spin on.
“We’ve got five amazing venues who will be putting their best foot forward to please our attendees. They’ve all been so supportive of what we are doing.
“It’s a great excuse for people to get to Geelong and contribute to the great event atmosphere.”
There will be three different ticket options, ranging from a three margarita and $10 food voucher, through to five drinks and food.
Event registration will be at the Inn Hotel at 58 Corio Street from 12pm to 2pm.
Hola Margarita will run from 1pm to 5pm.
