TAKE a seat at Geelong’s Museum of Play and Art’s latest exhibit and enjoy an Immersive Storytime experience in a purpose-built cinema.
MoPA owner Tom Mahon said Storytime, which is part of Storyfest, a Central Geelong Children’s Festival, provided children with an educational experience through multi-media projections and cinema sounds.
“Being involved in Storyfest provides us with a new avenue to explore how we can bring books and stories to life using all sorts of new technologies and through that provide educational experiences,” he said.
Tom said the response to the program had been overwhelmingly positive with tickets selling out for sessions days in advance.
“It’s heaps of fun here – for us to provide access to something that helps people relax and enjoy this special time with their families is fantastic,” he said.
“Everyone who comes through the door is beaming with a smile from ear to ear because they are enjoying the school holidays.”
