Pedalling for sick kids

March 16, 2020 BY

Over the past nine years, RFSK riders have raised more than $2 million for RMHC.

A TEAM OF 40 cyclists are covering 400 kilometres across four days to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) annual Ride For Sick Kids (RFSK), which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

The annual ride aims to help support families who need temporary accommodation at a Ronald McDonald House while their sick or injured child is receiving treatment in nearby hospitals.

Since its inception, RFSK riders have raised more than $2 million for RMHC in both Victoria and Tasmania, providing 15,000 nights of accommodation to people in their time of need.

The team – who took off from Lorne on Saturday – passed by McDonald’s Torquay today, with locals cheering them on as they put pedal to the metal.

Their journey will finish tomorrow at Ronald McDonald House Monash.
