CHRYSLERS from across the country converged on Lovely Banks this past Sunday as part of the annual Chryslers By The Bay Show ‘n’ Shine.

Close to 100 vehicles ranging from Chryslers, Dodges, Jeeps, and Rams were in attendance at Geelong Baptist College for the event, despite the 38-plus degree weather.

Show committee member and member of Bay City Chrysler Club (Geelong) Nicole Coverdale said the committee was really pleased with the turnout as vehicle owners battled the sweltering conditions.

“We’re happy with the attendance, we’ve known for a few days at least our numbers would take a hit because of the weather, but it’s great to see how many stuck it out,” Ms Coverdale said.

“There are a number of Chrysler clubs around the state who attend this show as part of a series of shows, we had cars from Tasmania, Western Australia, it really means a lot to people on the calendar.”

Ms Coverdale said the show ‘n’ shine has been part of the show calendar in Geelong for 26 years, each year beginning with the cruise on Saturday from Eastern Gardens to the Seaview Club.

The Bay City Chrysler Club is constantly growing with over 80 active members and is always on the lookout for more members.
