Two bodies have been found over the weekend, believed to be of missing men Bradley and Simon who disappeared in separate incidents.

THE search for two missing men has ended in tragedy, with police confirming bodies were located in Bellbrae and South Geelong over the weekend.

Police and family had been appealing for public assistance to find Mount Duneed man Bradley Davies, 35, who was last seen at a gymnasium on Baliang Street in South Geelong on Wednesday last week.

His disappearance was described by family as out of character, and police had held serious concerns for his welfare.

Officers from the Water Police, Drone Unit and Mounted Branch joined the search on Friday, concentrating efforts along the Barwon River.

A man’s body was discovered in the river near Swanston Street on Sunday evening. While formal identification is yet to take place, police believe the body to be Bradley.

In a separate incident, police have confirmed a body was also found in Bellbrae on Saturday during the search for missing Yarraville man Simon, 45.

Simon had left his Regent Street home for work at about 5.30am on Friday, but never arrived.

His vehicle was located abandoned in a car park at the intersection of Hurst Road and the Great Ocean Road on Saturday morning, prompting an extensive land and air search involving local police, SES crews and the Victoria Police Air Wing.

Victoria Police said reports would be prepared for the Coroner in both cases, and confirmed neither death is being treated as suspicious.
