Urgent search under way after man’s car found near Bellbrae

AN URGENT search is under way on the Surf Coast after a man’s car was discovered abandoned in Bellbrae on Saturday morning.

The missing man, 45-year-old Simon from Yarraville, left his Regent Street home about 5.30am on Friday for work.

He never arrived and has not been seen since.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition.

His silver 2012 Toyota Camry, registration ZIY 223, was found in a car park at the intersection of Hurst Road and Great Ocean Road in Bellbrae.

Local police, SES crews and the Victoria Police Air Wing are continuing to comb the surrounding area in a co-ordinated effort to locate him.

Simon is described as Caucasian in appearance, bald, with facial hair and has a small blue tattoo on his left wrist. He was last seen wearing a business shirt, suit pants and glasses.
