MARKET stalls, food vans, side show style games, entertainment and more will fill the grounds of Grovedale Primary School next Friday (December 6).

The Grovedale Primary School Twilight Fair invites the community, family and friends to head along to the event and enjoy the evening.

Grovedale Primary School principal Tina Barnett said every two years the school holds the major fundraiser.

“We are a school of 316 students, so it is a big undertaking to put on an event of this scale.

“Money raised goes directly to upgrading our playground equipment. The previous fair raised $22,000 and we were able to replace some of our junior playground equipment, which has been a hit.”

A silent auction will offer a range of prizes including a $270 voucher for an All for Kids party, a six-month membership at Anytime Fitness in Grovedale and more.

Hendry Cycles has donated the major raffle prize for the event, a $600 bike.

For the first time, this year’s event will introduce camel rides, offering something different for the community, with each ride costing $10.

Each cohort in the school will also run a major stall, supported by family donations and volunteering.

Cohort stalls will range from lucky dips, plant and bake sales and student designed Christmas cards, made by the students during lunch times.

Live performances will entertain attendees throughout the fair with DJ Dave, the Grovedale Primary School Choir and local groups set to perform.

Entry to the fair is by gold coin donation.
