Woman found safe after Ocean Grove air and water search

A woman reported missing off the coast of Ocean Grove on Monday evening has been found safe and well.

Victoria Police confirmed the woman was located on Tuesday afternoon after an extensive search involving local officers, Water Police and the Air Wing.

Concerns for the woman’s wellbeing were raised on Monday evening after she could not be located.

It followed reports she may have entered the water near Buckley Park Beach around 5.30pm.

Water Police and the Air Wing were dispatched to support local units in the search efforts off the coast of Ocean Grove on Monday and continued to assist through Tuesday.

Both teams are part of Victoria Police’s Specialist Response Division and provide support for search and rescue missions.
