JUST a handful of lots remain to be sold at Anchoridge, with the final land release now available for purchase.

Occupying the most premium location within Anchoridge, almost all lots face onto pristine wetlands and parklands.

The appeal of Anchoridge has drawn the interest of many long-time Bellarine and Surf Coast locals, just like David Cartin and his family.

After many years of living in Barwon Heads, Mr Cartin and his family relocated to Anchoridge to be closer to Geelong without compromising their coastal lifestyle.

“We weren’t going to leave Barwon Heads for a standard-sized block,” he said.

“The shape and position of our block and its proximity to the wetlands, walking trails and other features in the community was hugely appealing.

“Our old house had sort of reached its lifespan, and one of the best parts of a new build is getting a blank canvas so you can create the house you really

want to spend the next stage of your life in.”

Having driven past Anchoridge several times on their daily commutes, Mr Cartin and his family were immediately drawn to the estate.

The estate’s appeal has drawn the interest of many long-time Bellarine and Surf Coast locals.

“From day one you could tell it was going to be different. The priority placed on footpaths, parklands, connected streets and green spaces was so clear from the start,” he said.

“We are rapt with the way [the developer has] planned the natural spaces. The trees near the lake have brought in so much wildlife.

We’ve even seen a few generations of black swans!”

The location of Anchoridge has brought major benefits to the family, with Mr Cartin’s wife commuting to Melbourne twice a week and their three children attending school in Drysdale.

A school bus service within walking distance on Barwon Heads Road and being about a five-minute drive from Marshall Railway Station has meant the family’s travel time is significantly reduced.

“We’re lucky that we’re only 10 minutes down the road [from Barwon Heads], so catching up with friends for coffee or lunch at our favourite spots is as easy as it has always been,” Mr Cartin said.

He also credits his neighbours for making the family feel welcomed from the get-go. The support from the Sales Team also helped the family feel
at home.

“They’ve always been transparent with us. From making that early connection with Michael to putting an X on the block we wanted and finally creating our perfect home.

We couldn’t be happier with how it has eventuated. It’s been a great journey from start to finish.”

With the final lots sized between 344sqm and 654sqm and titles expected in early 2023, high demand is anticipated for Anchoridge’s final release.
