It’s time to come out and play with Sovereign Hill’s Summer Series as music, food, theatre, art and craft take over.

Spark your creativity and wonder with a full program of exclusive events, hands-on activities and outdoor festivities.

One of the most exciting developments in the Sovereign Hill Summer Series is that the famous Victoria Theatre will roar back to life with a new hit summer pantomime, Blackbeard the Pirate.

This is not to be missed and features daily during the school holidays from December 26, through to January 30.

Another new addition to the Sovereign Hill summer experience is to chill out by the lake with a pre-ordered picnic hamper featuring hand-made savoury and sweet treats.

We know it’s been a tough year for everyone so what better way to relax, unwind and treat yourself with a picnic by the lake while the kids play?
Orders can be made online when booking your ticket and the hamper comes complete with a picnic rug.

Summer is also a great time for play and creativity as Sovereign Hill becomes an adventure playground with Victorian era-inspired games to test your skills and challenge friends and family.

Flex those creative muscles and join Making It Australia winner George Buchanan for exclusive hands-on craft sessions on Monday, December 27.

Kicking off the new year, Sovereign Hill will celebrate some of the most popular festivities on the calendar.

2022 marks the Year of the Tiger, and Sovereign Hill will welcome the Lunar New Year in style with an entire weekend festival on February 5 and 6.

The streets will be buzzing with parades, lion dancing, music, a Chinese banquet and Ballarat’s first ever Night Noodle Market.
