Auskick centres open up across the region

AUSKICK centres around the region have begun or will this weekend begin conducting sessions, as one of junior sports’ biggest initiatives recommences for 2024.

The AFL broke its participation record for Auskick in 2023 with more than 126,245 Auskickers taking part in local centres

The AFL hopes to break that record again and recruit more than 140,000 kids to the program across Australia this year.

Most local clubs across the Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, and Bellarine offer Auskick programs with a range of times and days on offer each week.

Geelong and Golden Plains
Anakie – Thursdays from 5pm-6pm at Anakie Reserve (until July 28)
Armstrong Creek – Fridays from 4.15pm-5.15pm at Armstrong Creek Sports Precinct (until June 21)
Bannockburn – Fridays from 5pm-6pm at Victoria Park (until July 28)
Belmont – Thursdays from 4.30pm-5.30pm at Winter Reserve (until September 1)
Bell Post Hill – Fridays from 5.15pm-6.15pm at Myers Reserve (until July 26)
Bell Park – Sundays from 9.30am-10.30am at Hamlyn Park (until August 11)
Geelong Amateur – Fridays from 4.30pm-5.15pm at Queens Park Reserve (until June 21)
Geelong West – Fridays from 5pm-6pm at West Oval (until August 2)

East Geelong – Fridays from 4.30pm-5.30pm at Richmond Oval (until August 16)
Inverleigh – Wednesdays from 5pm-6pm at Inverleigh Reserve (until June 26)
Lara – Fridays 6pm-7pm at Lara Recreation Reserve (until July 26)
Lethbridge – Wednesdays 4.30pm-5.30pm at Lethbridge Recreation Reserve (until July 28)
Newtown & Chilwell – Fridays from 5.30pm-6.30pm at Elderslie Reserve (until June 2)
North Geelong – Thursdays from 5.15pm-6.15pm at Osborne Park (until July 18)
St Albans – Fridays from 4.30pm-5.30pm at St Albans Reserve (until July 28)

Auskick now enters its 29th year in 2024 with Barwon Auskick centres making up part of the 4,000 centres nationwide.
