THE GMHBA Limited Healthy Heroes annual parent event is just around the corner, with special guest George Georgievski – The School Lunchbox Dad – set to join in the fun on Thursday next week at GMHBA Stadium.

The free event aims to provide parents in the Geelong region with the GMHBA Healthy Heroes messages, and will look to share with parents and their children the simple yet effective ways that they can be a GMHBA Healthy Hero in supporting the growth of resilience and wellbeing for their family to thrive.

GMHBA Healthy Heroes is in its fifth year. Previously delivered to Grades 3 and 4, the successful results of the initiative has seen recently expanded to the entire primary school community, including pupils from prep to Grade 6, parents and staff.

George Georgievski is the author of two books – Lunchbox Express and Air Fryer Express – and his Instagram account has a following of more than 167,000.

The event will include a special appearance from Geelong mascots Half-Cat and Clawdia, a mini-masterclass with Georgie Georgievski, a Q&A with some Geelong Cats players, and a mini-resilience and wellbeing challenge to be completed by teams of parents and children.

The GMHBA Healthy Heroes parents event was scheduled to be held at Deakin Cats Community Centre, GMHBA Stadium (near Gate 8) on Thursday, July 22 from 4.15pm-6pm.

Refreshments will be served on arrival.
