THE Surf Coast and Bellarine’s best juniors have done their community proud at the Woolworths Australian Junior Surfing Titles.

More than a dozen local surfers from Jan Juc, Barwon Heads and Torquay represented the state at the eight-day national competition in Wollongong, New South Wales.

The region’s biggest success came in the U/19 MR Shield Boys division, with St Joseph’s College Geelong pair Jerry Kelly and Jarvis Barrow finishing second.

The duo fell three points shy of eventual winners Margaret River and comfortably defeated Illawarrra in New South Wales and Hobart College.
