KNOW someone outstanding?

Ballarat’s own awards for recognising exceptional achievements from within the community have opened for applications and now is the time to nominate someone deserving.

If you know of an incredibly community minded person or of a community initiative that should be recognised for its merit, now is the time to put forward suggestions for the city’s prestigious awards.

To celebrate a wide range of accomplishments, the 2021 Ballarat-wide awards will recognise residents within three main categories; Ballarat Citizen of the Year, Ballarat Young Citizen of the Year and Community Activity of the Year.

Nominees for Citizen of the Year must be 25 years or older, nominees for the Young Citizen of the Year must be under 25 years of age on 26 January 2021 to be applicable for the awards.

The Community Activity of the Year Award will go to the group or person who has organised and executed the most outstanding community activity no matter how small or extensive that took place between 30 October 2019 and 29 October 2020.

The awards will be presented at an official presentation and citizenship ceremony in January and applications for nominations will close Sunday, 1 November.
