ROKEWOOD and Cape Clear primary schools will see an expansion to their outside school hours care services.

Both schools received funding from the State Government as part of the $3.14 million Small and Regional Schools Grants Program.

Member for Eureka Michaela Settle said the expansion will provide families with greater flexibility.

“It’s wonderful to see Rokewood and Cape Clear primary schools supported to continue providing outside school hours care for local families,” she said.

“This funding means parents have more flexibility, and children can stay connected to their school community in a safe and supportive space.”

The initiative helps 115 small and regional schools across the state to provide before and after school care.

It is designed to help smaller schools keep the program running where there may be demand but not commercial viability.
