TO help with this dilemma, a local company, Evergreen Energy Savers has decided to run several Energy Savers Workshops in all the towns affected by the Solstice gas cut off. These workshops are designed to educate and inform the community as to what is available from the Victorian Government under their Victorian Energy Upgrades program.

John Crooks, the founder of Evergreen Energy Savers, has found that most householders are confused with the rebates that are available to them. “Hot Water Heat Pumps, Reverse Cycle Air Conditioners, Induction Cooktops, Rooftop Solar, Home Batteries, and the latest additional rebate for under insulated homes – Victoria’s response to electrification continue to evolve at a rapid rate.

With over dozens of rebates freely available to homeowners and landlords, few are aware that the rebates available change in value on a weekly basis. This is something most customers are unaware of and explains the vast variation in the out-of-pocket expense that householders need to contribute to access their rebate.

To further complicate the process, the rebates are shared with different government departments which only the customer is allowed to access.

With this amount of complexity, it’s no wonder most customers are confused and, in some cases, simply give up” says Crooks.

To assist communities, navigate these changes, Evergreen Energy Savers will be hosting Energy Savers Workshops, designed to remove the confusion and bring the householder up to date with the latest information that is available to them.

The Energy Savers Workshops are in conjunction with several community groups who have expressed an interest in helping their community and Rewiring Australia along with Renew will have information available at the Workshops. The sponsors of the Workshops are all major suppliers to Evergreen Energy Savers and their joint venture partner company, Local Energy Savers.

The dates and locations of the Energy Savers Workshops will be announced shortly and anyone who is interested in attending can contact John directly on
