DRAG queen royalty is heading to town next year as part of a regional Australia tour.

Powerhouse performers Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera will do their best Priscilla, Queen of the Desertimpersonation, travelling across the country with their new show As Seen on TV.

Appearing on Ru Paul’s Drag Race Down Under earlier this year and with a shared 15 years of drag experience, the pair are excited to get on stage.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to tour Australia – all the way from woop woop to the red centre – and share my love of drag,” Art Simone said.

“To be able to do this and also create safe and inclusive spaces for all, makes it a deadset bucket-list moment. I’m stoked.”

Piano Bar will play host to the regional Victorian leg of the tour, with shows scheduled in Bendigo on 1 June, Geelong on 2 June, Ballarat on 7 June and Colac on 9 June.

Art Simone is the current Australian Drag Performer of the Year, finished runner up in Ru Paul’s Drag Race Down Under and has headlined the Broken Heel Festival in Broken Hill over the last six years.

Etcetera Etcetera has performed all over the world and hosted events such as Groovin’ The Moo and  Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

“Drag is for everyone,” they said. “There’s nothing that excites me more than travelling around the country spreading the joy of self-expression.

“I’m so excited to tour with my sister Art Simone and give Australia a real look inside our minds, let’s hope they like what they find.”
