SUMMER has arrived in the Golden Plains Shire as the Bannockburn Heart splash park opened to the public on Monday.

The park, located on Milton Street, includes a water play splash pad and adventure play equipment, barbecue facilities, shade, public toilets and seating areas, car parking, and active recreation equipment.

It is open seven days a week from 9am until 9pm, apart from Christmas Day (Thursday 25 December) and is free to use.

“The splash park at the Bannockburn Heart is a great place for everyone to enjoy a bit of relief from the hot weather throughout summer,” a Golden Plains Shire spokesperson said.

“This free community facility offers a range of water play activities, seating, shade, barbecues and of course the Bannockburn Heart playground.

“We remind everyone to read and adhere to the safety guidelines at the splash park, and to be aware that the park will be closed from time to time for routine maintenance.”

The splash park will close for the season on Wednesday 1 April 2026. For more information, visit the Golden Plains Shire website.
