BANNOCKBURN Football Netball Club are seeking expressions of interest for both coordinator and coaching positions within the club’s junior teams.

With no prior experience needed simply and just a love for the sport, organiser Jodie Bukofsan said the club are seeking people to coordinate the junior and little league squads for the 2021 season.

“We’re looking for a junior coordinator and a little league coordinator… we need two people to do the jobs,” she said.

“They would be coordinating the coaches, team managers, the parents and kids, having to deal with any issues.

“Also, sorting out jumpers, grounds and making sure the kids are in the correct teams and there’s enough kids in each team and liaising with the senior committee.”

In addition to the coordinator positions, the club are also searching for coaches for the teams including little league boys U9, U10, U11 and girls U12, and junior football boys U13, U15, U17 and girls U15.

Although the season is yet to kick off, the teams will play either Friday night, Saturday morning or Sunday.

“Little league, we don’t start until March and the juniors we start around the end of this month,” Ms Bukofsan said.

“Last year, we started pre-season and then we had to stop, then we started an actual season and had to stop again so we were always waiting to see if we were going to go ahead or not.

“The kids were great last year, they were all great with their sanitising, the parents were great with the social distancing and staying in their cars… so if that’s what we’ve got to implement again, that’s what we’ll do to get the season up and running.”
