EIGHTY women took part in the recent Fiona Elsey Day, a ladies 4BBB event at Ballarat Golf Club, held on Monday, 17 September.

A shotgun start at 9am was followed by a nice lunch at the completion of the competition.

Players came from many different clubs, local and district, including; Ballan, Barwon Heads, Beaufort, Chalambar, Creswick, Gisborne, Hamilton, Hepburn Springs, Horsham, Stawell and Talbot.

Organisers reported it was a fun day with money raised from raffles and novelties.

Each player could pay $5 on the 6th hole that enabled them to skip the fairway and land on the green for one and putt for birdie.

The weather was windy but no rain or snow like the recent weather. Many ladies dressed in pink and supported the aim of the day which was to raise funds for cancer research in Ballarat.
