Lilies stand tall at penultimate triples

BALLARAT Associated Fibrous Plasters sponsored the Midland Ladies Triples, played on 12 February, with 72 players participating.

Lilies of the Valley, Nora Walters, Norma Day and Helen Burzacott narrowly won the day.

The Irises, Lyn Slocombe, Karen Bissett and Yvonne Clarke again just missed out, and were runners up on a countback from the Strelitzias.

First game honours went to the Dahlias, made up of Julie Worrall, Pam Hayes and Marie Arthurson, and Leucadendrons, consisting of Libby Liston, Marg Murray and Cec Gunn, were the best of the game two winners.

Scattered Rinks went to lead, Carol Collins, second, Judy Winnell, and skipper, Sandy Grano.

The last Midland Ladies Triples for this season will be on Wednesday, 13 March, at 10.30am are for 11am start.
