REDAN FNC got off to a near perfect start to the McDonalds Ballarat Football Netball League season on Good Friday.

The Lions came away from the first set of matches in the split round winning all football games and A and B Grade netball against Lake Wendouree.

In the senior footy Redan crushed the Lakers 16.14 (110) to 1.12 (18) with a five goal first quarter doing the damage.

The reserves were a bit closer with a final 5.11 (41) to 4.6 (30) scoreline while the under 19s went 11.10 (76) to 4.8 (32) at the final siren.

On the netball court the Lions A Grade squad took a 40 to 17 win, with the B Graders registering a 48 to 31 victory.

Lake Wendouree’s C, D and E Grade netball teams all came away with wins and Redan’s 19 & Under side were up 50 to 16 at the last whistle.

Redan goal attack Grace Manserra prepares to pass the ball off to a fast moving keeper Erin Riley.
