EUREKA Cycling staged their main
feature event of the year on Sunday, 7
April in glorious sunshine.

Over 100 riders travelled from across
the state to compete in the open event,
which this year was divided into two
races.

A strong northerly wind made the
circuit around Ercildoune and Mount
Misery testing for the competitors, yet
two solo efforts won the day.

In Race 2, Les Tokolyi simply rode
away from his group, through the field
and won by almost two minutes.

Race 1 saw Eureka rider Ricky
Calvert take the race lead with 25km
remaining. Calvert held off the closing
pack by a few bike lengths, to cap off an
amazing week.
