MORE than Two-thousand-four-hundred competitors have flooded Ballarat for the 23rd Annual Victorian Teachers’ Games last week.

Yet it was more than just a competitive sporting competition, there was also a focus on connecting with like-minded educators as well as having fun.

The week-long event kicked off with Super Sunday that included a festival with sponsor giveaways and lots of activities for competitors to take part in as they arrived in the city.

Over 30 sporting categories and seven social events were on offer during the event.

They included archery, cross-country running, cycling, volleyball and spikeball, with the marquee event being The Amazing Race where over 400 competitors took to the streets of Ballarat in a chase for prizes and the honor of winning the 2018 title.

For the less physical there was Trivia with a Twist which sold out within four hours of registrations opening.
