Dunnstown v Daylesford

Table toppers and flying towards a likely top four finish, Glen Wilkens and the Towners must be thrilled how season 2022 is going in the Central Highlands Football League.

Another massive win last week, this time over the struggling Blues will give them plenty of confidence to repeat the dose this weekend to the Doggies who are coming off the bye and only one the four games so far.

Prediction: Dunnstown comfortably.

Waubra v Creswick

Only percentage is keeping the Roos outside the competition’s top eight, a strong victory and results to go their way could see Waubra remarkable rise up the ladder continue.

Carngham-Linton gave Waubra a decent push with an 11 goal to four opening half the savour for Matty James men on the weekend.

Brandon Green had his best game in blue and white with six majors and will be hopefully to go one or two better against the struggling Wickers this weekend.

Prediction: Waubra by ten goals plus.

Newlyn v Carngham-Linton

Fourteenth verses 17th with the Cats having to avoid embarrassment here and getting a much-needed points for the under fire Chris Banwell.

The Saints showed some brilliant signs of improvement by winning the second half against Waubra and the message simple this weekend, keep that momentum going and try to pinch your first win of the season.

Prediction: Newlyn by 40 points.

Buninyong v Bungaree

Match of the Round as the Bombers host the Demons in a game that could have massive ramifications on who finishes inside the top eight.

Bad goal kicking cost the Bombers from really blowing away the Crows on the weekend, where it was the opposite story for the Demons with their accuracy helping them survive a scare from Newlyn.

It just seems like Buninyong has flipped a switch over the last couple weeks and unless they have already spent too much to see them rise up the ladder, they should walk out the winners here.

Prediction: Buninyong make it four in a row.

Gordon v Beaufort

Another huge victory for this season’s flag favourites is expected with the Eagles a big chance again to record another massive score line

After a good start, the Crows have hit the wall with their rebuild, and a return to finals action is expected to await another year.

Gordon have all the pieces of the puzzle to win the premiership this season, they will be sure to manage some of their veterans as the home and away seasons draws to a close.

Prediction: Gordon in a landslide.

Learmonth v Ballan

Twelve goals followed by 10 goals for Damien Folkes, how many can the Lakies spearhead bag this weekend against the struggling Blues?

Prediction: Learmonth by a staggering margin.

Hepburn v Springbank

Yet another big top four clash and this time it’s the Burra and Tigers going to battle in a genuine flip of the coin game this Saturday.

Laurie Sullivan Oval has been a true fortress since the turn of the millennium for Hepburn and home ground advantage is a massive factor in who walks out the victor.

The Tigers have dropped their last two and this game presents formidable task and a real danger game towards their premiership aspirations.

Prediction: Hepburn in an upset.

Clunes v Rokewood Corindhap

Hoppers will be heavy favourites here over the struggling Magpies, as Rokewood’s top eight position hangs by a thread.

There is no doubt they have to win in this one, yet in a game that’s a free swing for the Maggies, there’s potential to cause one of the upsets of the season.

Zac Jenkins has been super since jumping across from Redan in the Ballarat Football League and he’s been named among Shaun Maloney’s best on seven out of twelve occasions this season.

Prediction: Rokewood Corindhap by 24 points.
