STEVE Moneghetti and Juliana Addison were both named the number one ticket holders for the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners and Selkirk Ballarat Rush at the clubs’ recent membership launch.

Sports lover and former Olympian Moneghetti said he was thrilled to continue as the men’s number one ticket holder for 2021 in anticipation for the teams hitting the courts for the NBL1 South Season.

“Being Ballarat locals our family love watching the Rush and Miners play,” he said.

“The adrenalin, the action, the entertainment all combine to make it a fantastic experience for us all.

“As an ordinary player myself, being the number one ticket holder for the Hotondo Homes Ballarat Miners is truly an honour and privilege.”

Member for Wendouree and basketball enthusiast Ms Addison said she’s happy to be welcomed back as the women’s number one ticket holder and proud to get behind the teams next year.

“As a parent of a junior basketballer and a former local player, I know first-hand that our elite Rush athletes are role models for our junior basketballers,” she said.

“I thank the Ballarat Basketball Association for the great honour of being the number one Selkirk Ballarat Rush ticket holder and look forward to lots of exciting games at BSEC in 2021.

“I’m sure that the skills, fitness and strength of the Rush players will inspire more girls and women to play the game and stay active.”
