THE Woady Yaloak Football Netball Club, better known as the Woady Warriors, have taken the next step in their development as an organisation.

On Monday, 28 November the Warriors were admitted to the Ballarat Football Netball League as an “affiliated club.”

That means the Woady Warriors are now the 13th member organisation of the BFNL and will compete in the Ballarat Junior Football Netball League in 2023.

The millstone comes after four years of development at the club which aims to provide football and netball opportunities in the Smythesdale, Scarsdale, Haddon, and growing western suburbs of Ballarat regions.

“It’s fantastic to have Woady Yaloak formally a member of the league after a lot of work to get to this point,” said BFNL chair Adrian Bettio.

“Congratulations to Adam [Liversage] and Mark [Ashmore] and all the volunteers and families that will be part of the league moving forward

In 2022 the Warriors took part in the Western Bulldogs Under 9s football and Net Set GO netball events, and hosted a round of the series at the Woady Yaloak recreation Reserve at Smythesdale.

Next year’s McDonald’s BJFNL competition is currently scheduled to get underway from 16 April.
