Fresh vision to strengthen connections across Plateau business community

THE Alstonville Wollongbar Chamber of Commerce will unveil a fresh look and vision for the future when it hosts the local business community for a celebration event.

It will be held at Plateau Sports, Alstonville, on Saturday 1 August.

Business owners from across the Plateau are being invited to attend the evening, which will mark the official launch of the chamber’s new direction.

The launch is open to both long-established businesses and new operators, with organisers encouraging anyone interested in the future of the Plateau’s business community to attend.

The event will focus on building connections, celebrating local success and encouraging collaboration between businesses of all sizes.

Chamber president Jemma Coulter said the launch represented more than a new look for the organisation.

“It’s a fresh chapter built on connection, collaboration and celebrating the incredible businesses that make our community thrive,” she said.

“This isn’t just a logo launch. It’s the beginning of a renewed vision for supporting local business, growing our region, and bringing our business community together.”

Guests will enjoy live entertainment by The Rochelle Lees Trio, cocktail-style food and opportunities to network with fellow business owners and community leaders.

While the evening will not feature formal awards, the chamber will acknowledge the achievements of businesses recognised at the recent Ballina Shire Business Awards.

Among those to be recognised were HOME Alstonville, winner of Outstanding Visitor Experience; Plateau Tyres, which claimed both the Retail and Personal Services Award and the prestigious Plateau Business of the Year title.

Trident Fish & Grill owner Chris Photiou was also named Outstanding Young Business Leader.
