TWEED businesses are embracing the spirit of Christmas with the launch of the 2025 Festive Shopfronts Competition.
The initiative is part of Tweed Shire Council’s Succeed in Tweed business support program in collaboration with the business chambers of Tweed Heads, Kingscliff and Murwillumbah.
All entries will be showcased on the Tweed Festive Shopfronts interactive map, which will promote festive displays across the region, encouraging residents to explore local shopping precincts and support Tweed businesses during the Christmas period.
Tweed Shire Mayor, Chris Cherry, said the campaign celebrated local businesses and invited the community to support local stores and shopping precincts.
“This is a great initiative for businesses to connect with their community. It adds festive spirit to the shopping experience in our precincts and inspires people to choose local throughout the season,” Cr Cherry said.

“The Tweed Festive Shopfronts campaign shows the council’s commitment to supporting business in collaboration with our local chambers.
“The three chambers are partners in the initiative, but we are encouraging all Tweed businesses to enter.
“Shopping local at Christmas benefits the community, supports local jobs and helps our small business economy thrive.”
Entries from a shopfront or a physical business premises with a festive display open to the public can upload a photograph with a business name and address to register.
Winning displays will be selected by representatives from the council, local business chambers, and sponsors, with prize packs including a $500 Gift Pay e–voucher and a complimentary one–year membership to their local business chamber.
Registrations open Monday, December 1 and close on Sunday, December 14 at 12 pm.
