MORE than 45 people attended the Strong Women, Strong Community event hosted by CWA Heathcote Night recently.
The event featured Jo Stanford, Amanda Collins and Maree Hingston sharing their stories about their contributions to the region.
“It was a great afternoon,” said CWA member Sandra Fox.
“As well as fantastic support from the local community, a contingent of CWA members from other areas attended.
“We welcomed attendees of all ages and were really happy with how it all went.
“I think everyone enjoyed hearing our guest speakers.
“We are very grateful to the Bowls Club for providing the venue and to local florist Que Sera for the flowers we presented to the guest speakers.”

Local resident Pam Boyes said the afternoon was very enjoyable.
“It was a big turnout, a really good and happy crowd,” she said.
“Each speaker had a very different story to tell and provided lots of laughs as well as some more serious topics.
“There was lots of enthusiastic talk, and I think everyone left feeling inspired.
“And, of course, there was a delicious afternoon tea.”
CWA Heathcote Night will be manning the barbeque at the next Lions Market, holding cake stalls and selling Christmas treats later in the year.
“It’s all about raising funds for people who need it,” said Ms Fox.
