Festival all about food, wine and fun
THE Heathcote Harvest Festival on Saturday, 11 March promises to deliver up a smorgasbord of mouth-watering treats.
Heathcote Tourism and Development president Peter Young said there would be many different food vendors at Barrack Reserve for the event.
“We’ve got Spanish food, Mexican food, hamburgers, pizza and macarons,” he said. “We’ve got potato on a stick and then there’s the sausage sizzle being run by the night CWA.
“We had such a big response to the festival last year that we have gone out of our way to try and attract more food vendors.
“We’ve got a really great variety with food from different countries as well as good old-fashioned snags and hamburgers those who want that as well.”
There will be live music from Brooke Taylor, The Meltdown and A Whale Called Phoenix.
“I think it’s modern and easy to listen to and we’ve got some really talented performers,” Mr Young said.
“There’s also going to be wine stalls, beer stalls and there’s going to be spirits.”
The all-ages event will feature children’s entertainment including the amazing Mr Mike and his magic show, while Spiderman and Elsa will be wandering through the crowd.
“It’s going to be a really celebratory activity with lots to do for the family, there’s great music, excellent wine and some fabulous food, and it’s free entry,” Mr Young said.
The Heathcote Harvest Festival is on Saturday, 11 March from 4pm to 8pm at Barrack Reserve, Heathcote.
