NATIONALS Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland is encouraging sports groups in the region to apply for the State Government’s Sporting Club Grants Program.
The program provides funding to help grassroots clubs create more opportunities for people of all ages to participate in sport.
Grants can support clubs to purchase uniforms and equipment, develop volunteers and officials, host events and improve governance.
“Sporting clubs are at the heart of our towns and communities,” Ms Cleeland said. “They bring people together, keep us active, and provide opportunities for our young people and volunteers to learn new skills.
“These grants give clubs the support they need to continue providing these important programs locally.”
Applications will be accepted from not-for-profit community sporting clubs and organisations operating in Victoria and close at 4pm on Tuesday 7 April.
Funding categories include: equipment and uniforms, volunteers and officials, access and events, travel, and governance and engagement
Early applications are encouraged to ensure all documents are completed before the closing date.
“I urge every eligible club in Euroa to take advantage of this funding,” said Ms Cleeland.
“Even a small grant can make a big difference, whether it’s buying new equipment or supporting volunteers who give up their time to make our community clubs thrive.”
