THE Heathcote All Ages Activities Committee (HAAAC) has been busy planning for their third Halloween Spooktacular.

Everyone is invited to enjoy the fun, starting at 5.30pm on 31 October.

“Trunk or Treat is very popular,” said committee member Samantha West.

“Decorated cars line up along High Street and children can trick or treat at the open car boots.

“Anyone who is decorating their house can register with us and we will have maps available so people can go and see them.

“The atmosphere last year was fantastic, and everyone made a huge effort.

“We hope even more people will join in this year.”

The committee will award prizes for the best costumes in different age groups from preschool to adults.

“In the past local businesses have been very generous by donating prizes and we hope they will again be involved and also decorate shop fronts to add to the fun,” said Ms West.

HAAAC recently held their Annual General Meeting and is seeking more members.

“The more people we have involved, the more activities we can arrange,” said Ms West.

“In the past, as well as the Halloween Spooktacular, we held a Trivia Night and participated in Clean Up Australia Day.

“Anyone with suggestions for other community activities would be very welcome to join the committee.

“We are a registered committee, and our goal is to provide activities and fun for our wonderful community.

“Christmas is fast approaching, and it would be great to have lots of people involved in planning activities.”

Anyone who has suggestions or would like to join the committee can contact Ms West at Paper Creations Paper Craft, 174 High Street, Heathcote.
