Anita Connally (centre) has enjoyed thirty years in her family’s real estate business, especially working with Jennifer Hall. Now in her retirement she has handed over the business’ sales and rentals to Brad Todd from Todd Property. Photo: Sandra James.
AFTER more than thirty years working as a real estate agent, Anita Connally is retiring.
Connallys Real Estate officially closed last week with Todd Property taking over their rental and sales properties and Jenny Hall from Connallys joining the Todd team.
The business was started in the late-1970s as a stock and station agency by Connally’s late husband Patrick and late brother-in-law Michael.
In 1983 they moved into real estate with Connally joining the team in the 1990s.
She said one of the best things about her job was meeting so many people.
“Every day has its trials and tribulations, but it has been a joy to work here,” she said.
“I have worked with some lovely people over the years and wonderful employees.
“In particular, over the last two years during some difficult times, they have provided great support.”
Connally has no set plans for her retirement.
“I still have some clearing out to do in the office and at home,” she said.
“After that I might travel a little and visit family in Melbourne and interstate.”
Jenny Hall started with Connallys Real Estate in 2003, working in administration.
“I gained my full real estate licence a few years later and thoroughly enjoy my job,” she said.

“It is wonderful to be able to help people find their dream home and working with Anita has been a joy.
“Transitioning over to Todd Property has been great and I am enjoying working with Brad and his team.”
Brad Todd opened Todd Property 13 years ago.
“We service the Heathcote region and offer a high level of customer service,” he said.
“Helping people who don’t fully understand the real estate procedure means a lot to me.
“It is good to be able to take the stress away from them and make it a simple, comfortable process.
“Our property manager Kristy Webster is looking forward to getting to know the Connallys Real Estate tenants and landlords and offer them the same great service.”
The idea for the takeover was first floated by a mutual client.
“We had similar values and both prioritise looking after clients, so it was a good fit,” said Todd.
“Anita was comfortable retiring and knowing we will do the best for her former clients.
“We were both independent local agencies working hands on with the local community and look forward to continuing in the future.”
