COLBINABBIN Primary School held a very success 35th annual Market Day recently.

Students, staff, families and locals gathered to view stalls, participate in a spinning wheel raffle and a goods and services auction, enjoy a sausage sizzle, children’s activities and listen to live music.

“Our 35th Colbinabbin Primary School Market Day was another great success,” Colbinabbin Primary School principal James Sait said.

“We were blessed again with beautiful weather and a great community event.

“It was good to see the community come together and take the opportunity for families to catch up.

“We anticipate our event raised approximately $20,000 which will support our school to take on many additional resources and activities.

“A big thank you to all who visited us on the day and for the many businesses and organisations who have continued to support us this year with donations to be used on the day, auctioned off or included as raffle prizes.”

Manned by parents, the sausage sizzle was popular with all ages.

Allison Trethowan and Les Pelle of Waranga Catchment Landcare Collective provided informative displays and activities for children.
