Paying it forward

COMMUNITY Bank Heathcote and District is partnering with SES Heathcote District to raise funds for a new 4WD Medium Rescue truck.

With $200,000 to raise, the bank will match all donations dollar for dollar until Easter 2025.

“We are also getting together a list of local businesses to ‘pay it forward’ by donating a small portion of pre-Christmas sales to the fundraising,” said bank marketing and local engagement manager, Charleen Warburton.

“Community Bank Heathcote and District will also match these donations dollar for dollar.

“Even if residents cannot donate this Christmas, we encourage everyone to shop local and support local businesses to help the SES achieve their goal sooner.”

SES Unit controller Darren O’Connor said Heathcote SES is very grateful to Community Bank Heathcote and District.

“The bank and Charleen are great to work with and their efforts will be a game changer for SES members and the support we will be able to provide for the community,” he said.

“We thank them for the idea and for the effort and energy they are putting into it.

“The Heathcote community is lucky to have their support.

“The number of businesses coming on board is amazing and their contributions are very much appreciated.”
